Under the conditions set out in the EEC directives on distance selling. (Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000) we offer the following:

• A 7 day customer 'cooling off' period and right to cancel*
• Right to return goods if not satisfied (provided they are still in 'new' condition)
• Written verification of purchases
• Money back within 30 days of return of goods

*These rights are not applicable to 'made to measure' (1) goods as these are marked as exceptions in the above regulations and returns in this instance will only be accepted if merchandise is proven to be defective or of an unacceptable standard.

Please note - If you are returning goods from overseas please ensure to mark the parcel as 'RETURNED GOODS' otherwise they will be subject to import duty

Refunds: We can offer either full or partial refunds depending on whether a whole or part of an order has been returned or cancelled. Refunds are made using Worldpay's administration system and can only be issued in the currency that the customer has made their purchase in. Refunds can only be made up to the full amount of the original purchase. If the customer pays using a different currency from the one their bank statements are shown in then variations can occur due to exchange rate fluctuations. ScotClans cannot take responsibility for these fluctuations.

Many of the items we feature on the site are made to order from small independent suppliers, therefore you should expect delivery to take around 14 days for UK based customers and 28 days for overseas. You should also note that Kilt orders can take 6-8 weeks under normal conditions as these are made to measure garments made to very high standards.

However, if you are looking to place an order and you need the item in a hurry then let us know, in some cases we can persuade the manufacturer to give the order priority or for them to ship directly to you (there may be an additional charge for this so please contact us first.

In all cases delivery is subject to availability - we will do our best to make sure goods are delivered as quickly as possible but as we are dealing with small manufacturing and craft businesses they do sometimes run out of stock - this is beyond our control.
